New Edition's ASCAP Honor & Twin Craziness

Ok, before I go any further, please meet Stephanie Abdullah, publicist for Bobby Brown, and also my "play" twin sister, seperated at birth. We nicknamed one another "Twin" because we were born in the same hospital in St. Louis, spent our early childhood across the river in E. St. Louis, moved to Cali as pre-teens, but didn't meet one another until 7 years ago.

Stef and I have lived extremely similar lives before meeting-still do actually. The situation is so bizarre it would really take another blog to go into more details. Twin craziness at its best! Tiffany & Stephanie, oh, and don't even get me started on our name similarity and the same guys we've gone out with....such another blog for another time. By the way, she's the older twin. (Ha, Ha)

My attendance to the actual event was made possible because of her. Thanks for looking out. Oh and a just because "thank you" always to New Edition's manager, Brooke Payne for your willingness to make sure I'm straight for any and all things New Edition. We'll work the red carpet angle out a different way, next time.

New Edition's Spin-Off Group Set to Reunite

After months of speculation and rumor, the Kids are coming back. A well-placed source tells PEOPLE exclusively that New Kids On The Block are indeed getting back together.

The band's Web site, www.nkotb.com, which had been dormant, is now back up and running in anticipation of the official announcement, which the source says will be made in the next few weeks.

{Although loyal to my favs, New Edition, I did like New Kids. I was reppin' N.E. while my sister Cherisse was blaring the sounds of New Kids from her room, I picked on a few of their tunes as well, but N.E. still rules. Tiffany}

Chillin' @ Ricky Bell's Surprise Bday Party

Monica, Amy (Ricky's wife), Ricky Bell....SURPRIIISE

Ok, I think by now, anyone I've ever encountered has an idea of how much I love me some Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny too. I've been a fan since '83. Well, now I consider myself a supporter since I'm a bit older, with a job in the music industry and I know a few of the members, and they are only allowed to see me go into "fan mode" at the concerts. LOL! Here are some photos from Ricky Bell's Surprise 40th Bday bash. My girl Monica, also a supporter, assisted Ricky's wife with arranging the surprise party plans and she invited me along with her for the experience. These guys rock. We gotta help them get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They will celebrate their 25th Anniversary next year. For more information on nominating N.E. for a Star on the BLVD click here.

Bobby Brown- Sets It Off at BB Kings

My weekend began Thursday night because that's when I started to party like a rock star at KJLH's weekly live performance showcase at BB Kings/Universal City. This week's special guest was none other than the King of R&B, Bobby Brown.

Y'all, Bobby is so the "truth", on and off the stage. He gave a high energy performance and rocked all of his hits we so love. During the encore part of his performance, he was joined on stage by Mr. Wonderful, Stevie Wonder and Macy Gray. Bobby even sang a few of Stevie's hits while Stevie followed along on the keys.

I gotta shout out Macy Gray for remixing the song I am so loving to hate right now, "A Bay Bay". As she joined Bob on stage she referred to him as "A Bob Bay", A Bob Bay".... Hilarious! I can almost digest the song now.

Bob Bay also informed those in attendance to look out for his new reality show. Apparently, it's poised to knock our socks off like Being Bobby Brown...that I don't doubt as he's so made for t.v.

Bobby is also putting the finishing touches on his recording project, which he states will be released in the fall.

Finally, Bobby hung around after the show to "get his party on". As the DJ began spinning New Edition classics, Bob gave those on the dance floor a comic filled impromptu N.E. performance, choreography included. What an infectious moment.

I'll be posting some fun candid images from the show, so check back soon!

Shout outs: Publicist Stephanie Abdullah (good lookin'out)

Special Shout Out: To the 2 cutie pies that rocked it out with me at different times on the dance floor, T.J. and D.M., fellas, I wasn't sure if y'all could rock with me, but y'all showed me.
